Company History

Carpet One By Henry has been a family-owned and operated flooring specialty store since 1976, when Henry Scott opened the original Carpets by Henry in Greensboro, North Carolina. Henry's reputation for expert installation and his personal guarantee of customer satisfaction guided business growth.   In 1998 he made a critical decision to expand operations to become a regional leader in retail flooring by joining North America's largest carpet and floor covering buying group, CCA Global Partners. Today, the flagship store is still located in Greensboro and our second location serves Winston-Salem, with thousands of customers across the Triad relying on Carpet One By Henry for the best flooring selection and Henry's steady personal guarantee of exceptional service.
