Our Management Team

Henry Scott, President

Henry Scott opened the original Carpets by Henry store in Greensboro, North Carolina in 1976. His reputation for expert installation and his personal guarantee of customer satisfaction have guided business growth throughout the years. Today, he and his beautiful wife Judy manage our operations, along with their family members. We are proud of being a family-owned and operated local business that works hard to offer customized flooring solutions throughout the state of North Carolina.

Grady Scott, Operations Manager

Grady is Henry's brother and a 20+ year tenured employee. He knows the operation side of our business inside and out. Grady originally joined the team by helping Henry install flooring. Today, he oversees all of our installation teams, our customer service issues, and our installation/repair schedules. He loves spending time with his wife & daughter when he is not at work.

Ryan Scott, Store Manager

Ryan grew up in the business under the leadership of his father, Henry. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia and loves sports of all sorts. He especially loves football. Ryan is very detail-oriented and meticulous in his work.

Emily Scott, Rug & Warehouse Manager

Emily, Henry's daughter, has also been around the company since she was a child. Today, she manages our rug operations, our warehouse, and our shipping/receiving. Emily not only enjoys fabricating rugs but enjoys being innovative with organizational ideas that help things run smoothly. Emily enjoys spending time with Lily, her daughter; who is the next generation of our company. You will often see Lily in our TV commercials and catch her dancing or cartwheeling in our showroom.

Ashley Osborne, Account Executive

Ashley is an Interior Designer. She graduated from UNC-G. In Ashley's free time, she enjoys sewing, decorating, working on do-it-yourself projects, and spending time with her son.

Cynthia Markham, Account Executive

Cynthia is an Interior Designer, with over 30 years of experience. She graduated from UNC-G and previously worked in the furniture industry. Cynthia is semi-retired and works with us by appointment only. She and her husband, Johnny, enjoy spending time at the beach and with their grandsons. They are avid State fans.

Darin Swink, Account Executive

Darin is a graduate of UNC Wilmington with 20 years of flooring experience. He likes to spend time with family and friends, travel, and play golf.

Jason Ward, Account Executive

Jason enjoys working with people. Conversation comes easily and his customers have sent us great reviews of him. In his free time, Jason enjoys spending time with family and watching sports.

Ken Isley, Account Executive

Ken has been in the flooring industry for over 40 years. Ken's passion has always been with the builders. He loves being on new construction job sites. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and traveling.

Jeff Edwards, Account Executive

Jeff started in the rug business in 1987. We were fortunate enough to recruit him into the flooring business where he has flourished. Customers always have positive comments about Jeff and the service he provides. He & his wife, Lisa, enjoy spending free time at the beach and with their grandchildren.

Matt Johnson, Account Executive

Matt started in this business with little to no flooring experience but caught on quickly. He understands our products and is always working to help educate his customers. Matt's customers are quick to comment on his knowledge and how he helps them understand their options to make buying easy. Matt enjoys his free time with his family, watching sports, and being physically active.

Our Winston-Salem Showroom Team

Thomas Richardson, Account Executive

Thomas started with our company when he was a wee lad, working with his Dad as a stair installer. He officially started with our company in the warehouse after graduating from college. He has seen all sides of the business and his customers always comment on his installation knowledge. He loves spending time with his family.

John Elliott, Account Executive

John has been in the flooring industry for 25 years. He started out in merchandising and showroom design. John has also been a product representative and on technical support but found a home in sales 15 years ago. John has a wide range of knowledge from residential to commercial and healthcare flooring applications. John spends his free time outdoors and he is trying to hike as many trails as possible in the Pisgah National Forest.

Daniel Robinson, Account Executive

Daniel does double duty in our Winston-Salem showroom. He is often out on our job sites measuring for installation. His flooring installation background and rug-making skills are real assets to our Winston team. When he is not measuring, he is in the showroom helping customers with product selections. He enjoys area rugs the most, as he was a Rug Manager at one point in his career.

Daniel joined our company after he and his wife migrated north from Florida. He has been in the flooring business for over 35 years.

Daniel and his wife own 2 English Bulldogs that help keep them active. Daniel also likes to do oil painting and he plays guitar.

Kelly Brown, Showroom Designer

Kelly joined our team in 2011 and is currently in the role of our in-house showroom designer. Kelly’s background has been in the design field for furniture and showrooms for the High Point Furniture Market. Her customers rave about her eye for color and detail. In Kelly’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling with friends.
